Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Engineer to join their food manufacturing facility. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various engineering projects to support their food production operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to ensure successful project implementation while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering project management within the food manufacturing industry, with a focus on process improvement, equipment installation, and facility expansion projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and risk assessments, to facilitate effective project execution.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure adherence to approved spending limits.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to source and procure equipment, materials, and services required for project implementation.
  • Oversee equipment installation and facility expansion projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for new processes and equipment.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular status reports for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field). 
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in managing capital projects, including equipment installation, facility expansion, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
