Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to join our team at our food manufacturing facility. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily production operations and ensuring that all production activities are carried out efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily production operations, including the scheduling and allocation of work, setting targets and goals for the production team, and ensuring that all production activities are carried out efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor production processes and quality standards to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks in the production process.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the production facility is in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Train and mentor production team members to ensure that they are competent and skilled in their roles.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and engineering, to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Track and report on production metrics, including output, quality, and efficiency, and use this data to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a production supervisor or similar role in a food manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with production tracking and reporting software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. food science, engineering, business) preferred.
  • TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) certification a plus.
